Posted in: Veterans, VMI News

PHOENIX – Oct. 8, 2013Vantage Mobility International (VMI) continued its backing of disabled U.S. veterans and Paralyzed Veterans of America by supporting their annual Americana Gala, which took place on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Capital Hilton in Washington D.C. at 6:30 p.m. The annual gala honored individuals and organizations that have supported the PVA, and ultimately, over 25 million courageous American veterans.

“VMI is honored to support the men and women who served in our Armed Forces,” said Monique McGivney, director of corporate communication at VMI. “VMI’s Operation Independence Program and Paralyzed Veterans of America share the same mission – to help our disabled veterans live independent lives by educating them on how to access proper care, benefits and jobs. We enjoyed the opportunity to empower veterans by sponsoring the annual Paralyzed Veterans of America’s Americana Gala, which was an amazing evening.”

For more than 66 years, PVA has been changing lives and building brighter futures for injured heroes. As part of VMI’s involvement in the disabled veteran community, they supported the annual Americana Gala for the past two years. With keynote speakers including Major General (Dr.) Douglas J. Robb, the U.S. Staff Surgeon, the Office of the Chairman and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the event raised assistance for veterans.

“Through the Operation Independence Program, VMI has committed our resources to improve the quality of life for veterans,” said Jeff Weston, vice president of business development at VMI. “VMI is dedicated to helping veterans overcome their challenges. One of the most important tools to achieve that goal is a mobility vehicle, which opens up a world of independence.”
