What is the process for purchasing a VMI wheelchair vehicle?

The U.S. Department of Transportation recommends a five-step process that includes evaluating your needs with a qualified driver rehabilitation specialist, selecting the right vehicle, choosing a qualified dealer, being trained and maintaining your disabled vehicle. What kind of vehicles does VMI modify?

For minivans, we convert the Honda Odyssey, Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country. For full size vans, we convert the Ford E150, E250 and E350. We convert 2008 and newer Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country minivans and 2006 and newer Honda Odyssey.

How Long Does it Take to get my VMI Wheelchair Accessible Van?

If you purchase an accessible van that has already been converted by VMI, the average delivery time is 2-4 weeks. Where can I go to demo a VMI mobility vehicle?

Do you have Mobility Vans in Inventory that are Already Converted?

Yes we do. We have a variety of handicap vans in stock both new and used. Each wheelchair accessible van has a VMI Vehicle number which you can use to contact your local dealer for pricing and more information about the van. Click here to see our inventory.

Do you Accept other Vehicles on Trade?

Services vary by dealer. Some of our dealers do work with trade-in vehicles. To locate dealers in your area, click here and select products in which you are interested, enter your zip code and contact the dealers in your area with your trade in questions.

Can you Convert the Van I Already Own?

It may be possible for VMI to convert your current minvan or full-size van. However, always contact your local VMI mobility dealer to ensure VMI can convert your current vehicle as some restrictions do apply.
