If you want to make the world a healthier place with your volunteer experience, then check out Volunteer.gov. The website lists natural and cultural resource service projects that need volunteers. You’ll get to contribute to efforts run by the National Park Service, U.S. Geological Survey, and the Forest Service. Opportunities range in scale and scope, but the projects offer one-of-a-kind opportunities.
