VMI Continues Its Commitment to OTs
The largest gathering of occupational therapists occurs every year at the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) conference. VMI sponsors and exhibits at the conference to provide information and training to the 10,000 attendees. AOTA is a purely educational conference and VMI uses it as an opportunity to bring awareness to VMI and its solutions. “VMI’s booth was extremely busy this year, we had lines extending into the aisles” said Sophia Anderson, Marketing Manager for VMI. “The need for therapists and mobility vans is growing as America’s baby boomers get older. We had an influx of both current healthcare professionals and students that wanted to learn about our products.”
For over 25 years, VMI has partnered with healthcare professionals and their clients to continually develop new product innovations that enable consumers to have the freedom and independence they deserve. VMI and its dealers work with clinicians, therapists, and driver evaluators to help consumers regain mobility. VMI dealers also receive extensive training through both the National Mobility Equipment Dealer Association (NMEDA) and VMI to become Certified Mobility Consultants. As Certified Mobility Consultants, VMI dealers are adept at assisting consumers post prescription to ensure they are fitted for the mobility products that meet their clinical requirements.
